What community-management software gets wrong

Look at almost any community-management app in India today, and the homepage tells you what it thinks it is: a security product. Visitor management first, everything else after.

That's not wrong, exactly — gate security is a real, valuable feature. But it undersells what a residents' association actually needs: governance with a real audit trail, billing that doesn't rely on manual reminders, documents that don't live in someone's inbox, and staff/vendor coordination that isn't a notebook at the gate.

We think the category's blind spot is treating the residents' association as a building to secure rather than a self-governing community to serve. That's the gap Tharavadu is built to close.
